APAC-LİRA-PURANGA ROAD

Civil Works For The Upgrading Of Rwenkunye-Apac-Lira-Puranga Road (191km) From Gravel To Asphaltic Paved Road Standard: Lot 2: Apac-Lira-Puranga (100.1 km) The Apac–Lira–Puranga Road Project is a transformative infrastructure initiative in northern Uganda, aimed at upgrading a critical 100 km corridor to modern asphalt standards. The project enhances connectivity between the districts of Apac, Lira, and Puranga, enabling safer and more efficient movement of people, goods, and services across the region.


This initiative is jointly financed by the Government of Uganda and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), reflecting a shared commitment to sustainable development and regional integration. The upgraded road will improve access to markets, healthcare, and education, particularly for rural communities, while also reducing vehicle operating costs and travel time.
