NİSSİBİ BRIDGE

Adıyaman–Kahta–Siverek–Diyarbakır Highway.


The Nissibi Bridge spans the Atatürk Dam Reservoir on the Euphrates River, located on the border between Adıyaman and Şanlıurfa provinces in southeastern Türkiye. This cable-stayed orthotropic bridge measures 610 meters in length and 24.5 meters in width, featuring a main span of 400 meters. The bridge's pylons rise to a height of 101 meters and are supported by 80 tensioned cables. The Nissibi Bridge proudly stands as the first domestically constructed and designed bridge in Türkiye.

Construction Methodology


  • Heavy-Lifting: 26 steel segments, each weighing 250 tons, were precisely lifted over the reservoir using advanced heavy-lifting equipment.
  • Segments: All steel segments were pre-manufactured off-site and delivered using specialized trailers for seamless on-site assembly.
