Juba–Nimule Road, Section 2 (km 55+000 – 125+000)



The Juba–Nimule Road is a 70-kilometer highway connecting Juba, the capital of Central Equatoria State, to the border town of Nimule on the Ugandan frontier. As a key transportation corridor, it plays a crucial role in linking South Sudan to Uganda and Kenya.

Construction Methodology


The completion of the project significantly improved travel efficiency. Travel time between Juba and Nimule was reduced from nearly eight hours to under three. Today, the road serves as the most cost-effective and reliable route to the Port of Mombasa, Kenya’s primary gateway on the Indian Ocean.
