Refik Gül, the second son of Fazilet and Aziz Gül, was born in Elazığ in 1944. He showed a strong passion for machines from an early age, which led him to study at the Elazığ Technical Institute, where he honed his skills. He successfully completed his education in 1960 and soon began to build a career that would have a lasting impact on his community and the industry.
In 1971, Refik Gül, along with his brothers Şefik and Mehmet Gül, co-founded Gülsan, a company that would grow to become a significant player in its sector. Throughout his life, Mr Gül was dedicated to philanthropy, supporting various institutions and organizations aimed at enhancing societal welfare.
Refik Gül passed away on February 21, 2016, in Istanbul, leaving behind a legacy of entrepreneurial spirit and community service. He was married and had two children and four grandchildren.
