The purpose of the Project was to ease the vehicular traffic density by replacing the grade crossings with flyover junctions.

The Project involved the construction of three flyover junctions and a water channel crossing bridge on different sections of the highway. Lenghts of the flyovers are; 183m, 183m, 817m with a total lenght of 1.183m. The elevated approaches to the flyovers are supported by reinforced earth walls. The works also included the construction of collector roads and sidetracks.
